One person was shot dead while hunting, 3 people were arrested

One person died due to gunshot while going hunting in the forest of Kapilvastu border area of ​​Arghakhanchi. DSP Mohanmani Adhikari, Information Officer of the District Police Office, said that 28-year-old Samundra Gahamgar, a resident of Buddhbhoomi Municipality-9, Gawdahwa, died after being shot in the leg.

Around 12 noon on Saturday, 34-year-old Ram Bahadur Tharu and Ram Tharu, who live in the same place, went to the Buddha Yashodhara Community Forest, which is 6 km north of their village, on the border of Khairbhatti.

Ram Bahadur Tharu was trying to hide after hearing the sound of a vehicle while playing hunting, and Samudra's leg was shot at around 4:00 p.m. Samudra was taken to Universal Medical College Bhairahawa for treatment without knowing anyone. He died there on Saturday.

After the doctor told the hospital police that the incident was suspicious, the Rupandehi police informed the Kapilvastu police. After this, the incident came to light on Sunday after the area police office of Gorusinge started investigating. Police investigation said Magar died of gunshot wounds. 

The police have arrested Ram Bahadur Tharu and Ram Tharu for their involvement in the incident on Sunday. Similarly, after the incident, Pravesh Tharu, who lives in the same place, has been arrested on the charge of helping to hide weapons. After the incident, two loaded guns, one fired and the other loaded, were also recovered from the forest area.

Although it is said that the deceased Gahamgar went to graze goats, the police suspect that he may have gone to play hunting. The DSP officer said that the bullet hit one of his legs and the other leg was also pierced.
