The meeting of the Lumbini state government on Friday has decided to demand more funds due to lack of funds in the schemes handed over from the federal government. The meeting presided over by Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya made decisions related to local service regulations and budget management.
Dinesh Panthi, spokesperson of the government and Minister of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, said that the meeting will demand additional budget for the projects that are being transferred from the federal government and approved to send the Local Civil Service Regulations, 2081 for consultation to the State Public Service Commission.
Likewise, the meeting has decided to approve the Provincial Supplementary Subsidy Management Second Amendment Procedure, 2081, to approve the multi-year contract agreement standards for provincial projects, 2081 and to determine the limit of the subsidy to be transferred to the local level by the provincial government in the next financial year 2082/083.
The Chief Minister's Press Coordinator Dasharath Ghimire said that a decision has also been taken to give approval to the draft of the bill made to make arrangements regarding the collection of occasional taxes and revenue in Lumbini Province.
