The cabinet meeting of the Lumbini state government was held on Friday. The meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya made decisions regarding local service regulations and budget management.
Dinesh Panthi, spokesperson of the government and Minister of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, informed that the meeting gave approval to send the Local Civil Service Regulations, 2081 for consultation to the State Public Service Commission.
The meeting has decided to approve the Second Amendment Procedures for Provincial Subsidy Management, 2081, to approve the criteria for multi-year contract agreements for provincial projects, 2081 and to determine the limits of subsidies to be transferred to the local level by the provincial government in the next financial year 2082/083.
It has also been decided to give approval to the draft of the bill made to make arrangements regarding the collection of occasional taxes and revenue in Lumbini Province . Similarly, it has been decided to request a budget for the projects that have been transferred from the federal government and are being implemented.
