A child has been injured by a leopard attack in Bardia. 10-year-old Sirjan Tharu of Gularia Municipality-5 Balapur was injured by a leopard attack on Wednesday afternoon.

He was attacked by a leopard when he went to the field with his grandfather to irrigate the vegetable garden located in Gularia Municipality-4. It is said that the grandfather was irrigating the field and the child was sitting on the cot when the leopard grabbed him and ran away.

Dr. Subhash Pandey, Medical Superintendent of Bardia Hospital, said that the injured child was referred to Nepalgunj for further treatment after primary treatment. "The child has a deep wound on both sides of the neck and is bleeding," Mesu Dr. Pandey said, "The child is in a semi-conscious state."
