A fire broke out in Shangrila Ply Industry located in Ghorahi sub-metropolis-9 Khaira. The fire, which started at around 2 o'clock last night, has not yet been brought under control.

Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Lamsal informed that efforts are being made to extinguish the fire by bringing fire engines and tankers from all parts of the district. Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and local people are engaged in extinguishing the fire. 

Prazia Lamsal said that since there are slums near the area where the fire broke out, people are being evacuated from their homes and the settlement is being protected. He said that they have also brought fire engines from Banke and Rupandehi districts. The cause of the fire has not been revealed.
