Two youths have been arrested from Ramgram in West Nawalparasi with undisclosed amount of Rs.12 lakhs. The police arrested them based on the information that the Hundi trade was going on from India to Nepal.
According to Police Inspector Narayan Thapa of District Police Office Nawalparasi, 1.2 million cash was found when checking the persons riding on two motorcycles with Indian number plates from Ramgram Municipality-5 bypass area.
Those arrested are 22-year-old Sukh Sagar Yadav of Palhinandan rural municipality Bhaxipur and 39-year-old Shivendra Prasad Bania of Pratappur rural municipality Piparpati.
500  from the bag carried by Yadav. 6 lakh rupees were found with notes of 1 thousand 200 and 200 notes of 500 and 1 thousand 500 currency notes were recovered.
According to the police, both the arrested persons could not reveal the source of the money and it has been revealed from the preliminary investigation that there may have been a Hundred transaction. Two Indian motorcycles with numbers UP 56 H 1204 and UP 56 H 2573 were also seized from them. The arrestees are being investigated by the District Court Parasi with an extension of 5 days.
