Vinod Kumar Soni's panel has won the direct election of Airavati Adarsh Versatile Campus Independent Student Union (SWAVIU) in Rapti Rural Municipality-2 Lalmatia.
Vinod Kumar Soni, the candidate for the post of president from the close alliance of CPN-Maoist Center and Rashtriya Janamorcha (All Revolutionary and All Sixth), has won by getting 214 votes. Prakash Pun, the candidate for the post of president from the Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh, which is close to his nearest rival Nepali Congress, has received 158 votes.
Deepak Sharma won with 193 votes while his closest rival Bhuvan Bhattarai got 165 votes. Similarly, Mandip Pokhrel won by getting 189 votes while his nearest rival Nisam Pokhrel got 134 votes. Among the
members, Anil Choudhary from Soni's party got 183 votes, Mani Prasad Poudel 188 votes, Bhupindra Periyar 186 votes, Saurabh Pokhrel 188 votes and Raveena Kanvoor won by getting 183 votes. Similarly, Sunsari Chowdhury received 154 votes from Nepal Student Union, Tara Kumari got 154 votes, Bhojraj Pokhrel got 156 votes, Lakshman Chaudhary got 155 votes and Subasana Malla got 159 votes.
Anil Sunar has received 108 votes for the post of president from Aneraswawiyu, near CPN-UML. Prakash Jethara got 115 votes for secretary and Nimraj Gautam got 152 votes for treasurer. According to Anand Lamichhane, coordinator of the election committee, Shivram Kandel got 146 votes, Bobby Kumari Chaudhary 130 votes, Manisha Khadka 136 votes, Savin Sharma 116 votes and Jalumaya Sunar 113 votes. In the election, out of a total of 725 voters, 485 votes were cast and 1 vote was invalid.
