Lighting seven thousand lamps in Lumbini wishing for world peace

Seven thousand lamps have been lit in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, with a wish for world peace. Seven thousand lamps were lit in Lumbini Square located in the middle of the central canal on Saturday evening after the conclusion of the Fourth Tripitaka reading ceremony.

The Dhammakaya Foundation has lit the lamp for peace and harmony with the participation of five hundred short-term monks, monks, lama gurus, ani, upasaka upasika and pravajit. 

Dhammashoban Mahasthavir, president of All Nepal Bhikshu Mahasangha, started the lighting of the lamp, which was made in the shape of Dhammachakra, taking the flag of Nepal as the central part. Vice President of Lumbini Development Fund Dr. Lharkyal Lama said that it is important in itself to wish for world peace and the welfare of the animal world by lighting the lamp in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha.

He emphasized that Buddha's teachings should be spread all over the world through similar spiritual programs. In the program, Thaidhammakaya's consultant Dr. Adishak said that Buddha's teachings emphasize world brotherhood and unity and said that the lamp reflects internal and external knowledge.

Similarly, Roshni Giri, Advisor to the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Bhikshu Nigrodha Mahasthavir, Secretary of the All Nepal Bhikshu Federation, Dr. Suvarna Lal Bajracharya, Vice Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University, said that just like the light of a lamp, the teachings of the Buddha will cut through the darkness.

Tripitaka text is over

The four-day international Tripitaka text held in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, has ended. The Tripitaka was recited at the Mayadevi temple complex in Lumbini in the collaboration of various organizations including the All Nepal Bhikshu Mahasangha and the Lumbini Development Fund. 

The Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chetnarayan Acharya concluded the Tripitaka lesson on Saturday. Addressing the closing ceremony, Chief Minister Acharya called for spreading the Buddha's teachings throughout the world. He said that the spirit of peace, compassion and coexistence can be spread by imbibing the Buddha's teachings and teachings. In the

program, the Vice President of Lumbini Development Fund, Dr. Lharkyal Lama, said that Lumbini is the birthplace of Buddha and is the center of faith for Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world. In the program, the president of All Nepal Bhikshu Mahasangh, Bhikshu Dhammashoban Mahasthavir said that the teachings of Lord Buddha are scientific and timely. He said that reciting Buddha's teachings for four days at Buddha's birth place generated positive energy. 

Similarly, Sanuraja Shakya, member secretary of Lumbini Development Fund, said that the Tripitaka text has made an important contribution to the internationalization of Buddhist education along with the promotion of tourism in Lumbini. In the program, the founder of the International Tripitaka Chanting Committee, Wangmo Dixi, said that it was a priceless achievement of his life to sit and recite Buddha's sermons in Lumbini.  In the

program, Bhikkhu Nigrodha Mahasthavir, Secretary of All Nepal Bhikshu Mahasangha, Senior Vice President of Lumbini Hotel Business Association Leelamani Sharma and others said that such programs are important to spread Buddha's teachings around the world. Bhikshu Bimalo Mahasthavir informed that those who helped for Tripitaka program were also honored on that occasion.

Gautama Buddha's knowledge and religion provided continuously for 45 years have been collected in the Tripitaka of Deshana. More than 400 people including monks, nuns, lamas, ani, worshipers participated in the Tripitaka reading ceremony.
