The Pratappur village municipality has announced a protest because the postal road construction work has stalled in Pratappur in West Nawalparasi. Even before this, the chairman of the rural municipality, Umeshchandra Yadav, along with the people's representatives of the municipality, the province, political parties and locals have announced a protest saying that the agreement has not been implemented despite fasting and dharna.

President of Pratappur Rural Municipality, Umeshchandra Yadav, issued a press release on Wednesday and mentioned that on 26th of February, Kapilvastu will be surrounded by Hulaki road directorate and then a protest centered on Kathmandu along with the locals will be held. Village Chairman Yadav said that although the contractor agreed to start work from October with the people's representatives, local and political party representatives who were on hunger strike on August 27th, the agreement was not implemented and they were forced to protest further.

The 6.5 km postal road from Gopiganj to Belatari under the Directorate of Postal Roads has not been completed even after 6 years. Locals here have been complaining that the work has not progressed even after coordinating with the contractor company Brajguru Mahalakshmi and Hulaki Road Directorate. Construction in 2079  The road that should be completed has not yet been completed. Due to which the locals have to travel at risk.
