A fire has been raging on the border of Deurali and Khyaha in Palpa since Tuesday afternoon. Chiranjeevi Pokharel, Ward President of Ribdikot Rural Municipality-1, Khyaha, has informed that although the efforts to extinguish the fire on Samsarnat Hill of Ribdikot Rural Municipality-1 and 2 are continuing, it has not been brought under control.

The fire started from around 1 pm in the lower and upper part of the road connecting Khyaha from Hartok to Deurali. Tansen Municipality Fire Brigade, Nepali Army, Armed Police, Janpath Police, employees of sub-division office, local residents, public representatives have been deployed to control the fire in Salla forest. 

Gairagaon of Khyaha, Pokhardanda of Deurali, Laghwa, Dambak and other villages are at risk of fire. Locals said that although the water source, tank, and power transformer could be saved, they could not be brought under control. According to Ward President Pokharel, Pokhardanda area of ​​Deurali has become risk-free, while Garagaon of Khyaha, Dambak and Laghwa of Deurali are still at risk.
