Rashtriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden has announced that he will fight against the current system from March. He accused the Congress-UML government of institutionalizing corruption and said that a movement against this system is necessary.

At a rally held by the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party in Butwal on Saturday, Lingden alleged that the alliance between the two major parties was not for the country but to protect corruption.

'The ruling party is playing the game of buying MPs and getting the ordinance passed,' he said,  "There is no possibility for this party to improve, let's not waste time, let's start changing the system." President Lingden also said that the movement is being prepared to abolish constitutional monarchy, Hindu state, province, executive prime minister and stop foreign interference in the country.

RPP spokesperson Gyanendra Shahi said that democracy including monarchy is the need of the moment. He stated that they are ready to make a Prime Minister elected directly by the people and insisted that the king is constitutionally indispensable. "The king is the owner of the country, the leader is a thief," said Shahi, "let's protest against corruption and making the country poor." He said that the RPP will protest in Kathmandu from March with the agenda of system change.

Vice President Vikram Pandey, another Vice President Dhuvra Bahadur Pradhan, General Minister Dhavalshamsher Rana, former Minister Niranjan Thapa said that republicanism and secularism were not the agenda of the 2062/063 people's movement.
