One killed in clashes in Nawalparasi

In Palhinandan Rural Municipality-3 Belaspur of West Nawalparasi, one person was injured and died in a clash between two parties. The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Vijay Dhawal of Palhinandan-3 Kushma, police said.

According to Superintendent of Police Gyanendra Phuyal of District Police Office Nawalparasi, Rupandehi of Dhawal died on Tuesday evening during treatment at City Hospital in Bhairahawa.

Mohram Pavaria and 45-year-old Baijnath Prasad Loniya, who were injured in the clash, are currently being treated at the same hospital. Pavaria's condition is complicated and he is being treated in the intensive care unit, while Loniya has injuries on both his legs and his condition is normal, said Superintendent Phuyal. 

Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock there was a clash between the two parties in a general dispute. 19 people were injured in the clash. During the clash, a vehicle numbered Ba1jh 7448 of the area police office Maheshpur (District) was set on fire.

The injured include 11 Nepal Police, four Armed Police and four locals. The police fired five rounds of tear gas and three rounds of aerial fire to bring the situation under control. According to the district police office, a high security arrangement has been arranged at the place where the clash took place.
