On Thursday morning, the tiger was spotted and taken into custody near Ambasa in Thakurbaba Municipality, which is connected to Bardia National Park.
Tigers that enter villages, kill quadrupeds and eat them, attack people are said to be problematic. According to Ajit Tumphahamfe, head of National Nature Conservation Fund, Bardia, the captured tiger is a female of about 3 years.
'The problem tiger was brought under control by the joint team after it was known that it came near the village,' he said, 'As the profile of the tiger is being studied, the park administration is coordinating with the department on where to send it.' The tiger detention cell at Bardia Park's Thakurdwara and Rammapur is already full. There are three tigers in the detention cell.
