A young woman who cheated by saying that she will be sent to Japan on a worker visa has been arrested. 23-year-old Tirsna Batha Magar of Baijnath Rural Municipality-5 was arrested on the charge of extorting money from many people to take them to Japan on work visas for foreign employment.
According to the local police office, Kohalpur, Magar was arrested on the charge of fraud at the rate of 14/15 lakh rupees per person. District Police Office Banke Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ayush Prasad Joshi said Magar had collected 12.23 million rupees by saying that he would send it to Japan.
According to DSP Joshi, she was on the run for 2/3 months after collecting the said amount. The victims filed a complaint against him at the Foreign Employment Department. Soon after, an arrest warrant was also issued against Magar.
He was arrested on Sunday by a team from the local police office, Kohalpur. Area police office Kohalpur said that further investigation process has been initiated against Magar.
