It has been revealed that 52-year-old Rudra Bahadur Budhathoki of Ribdikot Rural Municipality-1, Khyaha Jogithum, who was found dead on Wednesday morning, was murdered by his own daughter. Madhav Bista, 31, of Tansen Municipality-14, Sancha, was arrested by the District Police Office on Thursday on the charge of murdering Budhathoki.

Budhathoki had been camping at Bishta's house for some time. Budhathoki was working as a laborer. Budhathoki was found dead in the Dera on Wednesday 23rd of January at around 8 o'clock in the morning. Even though Budhathoki was found dead, there was blood on Budhathoki's nose, forehead, mouth and on the bed where he was sleeping. Further investigation revealed that the housemate had killed him, said Sunil Malla, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Palpa.

Bisht's body was handed over to the family after post-mortem at Lumbini Provincial Hospital Butwal, police said. Bista was remanded by the Palpa District Court on Thursday and further investigation is being conducted into the incident.
