A cyclist died on Friday after being hit by a bus in Bardia Thakurbaba Municipality-2 Ranipur under the East-West Highway.
According to the police, the bus No. 7 B 412, which was going from Kanchanpur Jhalari to Dang Tulsipur, hit the cyclist. 69-year-old Man Bahadur Chaudhary of Bardiya Madhuvan Municipality-1 Khaireni, who was seriously injured in the collision, was referred to Teaching Hospital Kohalpur after general treatment at City Hospital Bhurigaon.
District Police Office, Bardia Information Officer and DSP Rishiram Ghartimagar said that Chaudhary died during treatment. He said that the police have detained the bus and the driver, 32-year-old Resham Chaudhary.
