6 casinos in Rupandehi under investigation

An investigation has been started on 6 mini casinos operating in Rupandehi regarding the illegal operation of the casino and the acquisition of huge wealth by the operator.

Casinos under investigation include Happy Hour Gaming Club operating at Hotel Lacaul in Bhairahawa, Paradise operating at Nance Hotel, Golden Star operating at Nirvana,  Gabling Galaxy operated at Maurya Hotel, Elegant Entertainment operated at Asian Buddha Hotel and CMG Casino operated at Dreamland Gold Resort in Manigram.

Based on the complaint lodged with the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission regarding the fact that these casinos are operating against the rules and the operators have acquired enormous wealth, the commission has sent a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs to understand the reality and send an investigation report. 

The investigation was started after the house sent a letter to the district administration office Rupandehi asking them to investigate the casino and submit a report.

The Chief District Officer of Rupandehi, Vasudev Ghimire, said that in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Home Affairs, investigations and investigations are continuing on those casinos. Which subjects are being investigated and investigated? He said that he could not tell many things immediately.

The casino was operated in violation of the standards set for the operation, operated on the basis of the court order without paying crores of revenue to the government, fake Indian Aadhaar cards were made to play with Nepalis, illegal gambling, involved in Hundi business, tax evasion of Indian liquor. The casinos here are accused of using and dealing in Indian notes, which are banned in Nepal.

Despite the fact that the casinos here have been operating against the prescribed standards and laws for years, the local police administration, Nepal Rastra Bank, Internal Revenue Office, Revenue Research Office, Tourism Department and other stakeholders and regulatory bodies have been accused of keeping silent.
