Maiti Nepal has rescued more than 300 women and children from different borders of Bardia since one year. Most of them were rescued from the Nepal-India border, which is connected to Gularia Municipality and Baghaiyatal Rural Municipality.

This information was given by Maiti Nepal in the interaction program held with the media persons for the control of human trafficking and trafficking held in Gularia.

In 2024, 335 women and children who were on a dangerous journey were rescued from the border and handed over to their families, said Gayatri Rimal, head of Bardia, Nepal.
