A young man has died in Dang after he was shot while he was hunting in the forest. SP Arjun Prasad Timilsina, head of District Police Office Dang, said that the deceased was Prem Bahadur Kusari, 25 years old from Dangisharan Rural Municipality-2 Kauwaghari.
He informed that Chabilal Dangi and Pushpa Basnet of Dangisharan-2 were arrested on the charge of shooting and killing Kusari on Saturday and further investigation is being carried out. Timilsina said that a handgun was also recovered from them.
Three people went to the local forest to play hunting on Thursday. Kusari, who was injured by a bullet in the forest, was told by his friends that he fell from a tree and got injured. Kusari died in Nepalgunj on Friday during treatment.
SP Timilsina said that the police stopped and started an investigation after getting information that a shot had been fired while preparations were being made for cremation on Saturday. He informed that bullet pellets were found in the body during the post-mortem. SP Timilsina said that the incident is still being investigated.
