On the basis of special information, 30-year-old Niraj Kumar Mishra of Mayadevi Rural Municipality-7 Harnampur was arrested with cash while coming from the west towards Dumra Chowk, District Police Spokesperson DSP Mohanmani Adhikari said.

The police said that there are 890 notes of 1000, 1000 320 of 500, 180 of 100 and 40 of 50 notes from the bag.

The amount was recovered while hidden in a black bag hanging on the bicycle that Mishra was driving. The arrested Mishra is under police custody. The incident is being further investigated.
