Police arrested 5 fugitive defendants in one day. District Police Office, Bardia informed that they were arrested from the Area Police Office, Maina Pokhar.
When arrested, there are defendants in gambling, robbery, theft and drug cases who have been sentenced to imprisonment and fines on various dates in the Bardia District Court.
Sushil Pariyar of Baghaiyatal Rural Municipality-1 who was sentenced by the court on August 27, 2007 in a drug case was arrested. Similarly, Diwas Rai and Gopal Sunar of the same municipality-2, who were convicted on 5th Chait 076 by the District Court Bardia in the gambling case, have been arrested.
Shiv Sapkota of the same municipality-7, who was convicted in the robbery case by the court on 12th Chait 066, has been arrested by the police.
Information Officer and DSP Rishiram Gharti Magar of District Police Office Bardia said that 5 people including Sanjay Kumar Tharu of the same municipality-5 were arrested. DSP Gharti Magar said that the 5 arrested persons have been registered in the district court.
