Gharti was pressured to verify the bill that was sent back with a message earlier after it was passed unanimously by the state assembly
Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Krishna Bahadur Gharti has certified the amendment bill related to Civil Service.
Provincial Chief Gharti on Sunday certified the bill made to amend the Provincial Civil Service Act, 2080 out of the two bills related to employees passed unanimously by the second meeting of the fifth session of the Provincial Assembly. Another bill approved by Speaker Purna Bahadur Gharti unanimously passed by the Provincial Assembly on 17th of January is a bill to regulate the formation, operation and conditions of service of the local civil service.
Bhavishwar Ghimir, the spokesperson of the office of the provincial head, issued a notice on Sunday and informed that the bill made to amend the Provincial Civil Service Act, 2080 has been verified according to the clause 4 of Article 201 of the Constitution of Nepal . He said that another bill to regulate the formation, operation and conditions of service of the local civil service is under study. "Both bills passed by the provincial assembly arrived at the office on January 19," he said, "amending bills have been verified by the provincial chief, and the other is being studied." He said that he is in the process of studying.
Earlier, the fourth session of the Lumbini State Assembly had passed a bill to amend the State Civil Service Act, 2080 on August 31st and a bill to regulate the formation, operation and service conditions of the civil service on August 27th, 2081. However, both the bills were sent back to the Provincial Assembly on October 22, 2081, as it was deemed necessary to reconsider them according to Article 201, Clause 3 of the Constitution of Nepal.
Both bills were unanimously passed by the second meeting of the fifth session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly on 17th of January. Both the bills were approved by Speaker Gharti and sent to the provincial chief's office for verification on the 19th of January. After the verification of the bill made to amend the State Civil Service Act 2080, the way is open for publication in the State Gazette.
