As people's life is becoming difficult day by day due to cold and cold waves, arrangements have been made for heating fire in public places.
After the extreme cold, the Kohalpur municipality of Banke has arranged for fire heating in various public places of the city. City police chief Bir Bahadur Thapa said that since Wednesday, firewood has been distributed to various places in the city after the cold weather which has increased with fog, fog and cold wave has affected people's lives. According to him, the distribution of firewood has been started in the main highway areas where people gather more, such as Main Chowk, Sazhachok, High School, Pipri, Havaldarpur, Madanchok, Kaushilanagar, Chappargaudi.
City Police Chief Thapa informed that firewood has been purchased from the district forest production supply committee and distributed in collaboration with the area police office Kohalpur. Workers, cart and rickshaw pullers, children, old people and students are more affected by the cold. There is also a problem in the operation of vehicles due to the heavy rain along with the cold wave.
Dr. Sanket Risal, Information Officer and Head of Emergency Department of Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, requested to be alert as most of the children and the elderly are at risk due to cold. According to him, recently, the number of children and elderly people coming to the hospital for treatment of pneumonia, asthma and lung problems is increasing.
District Administration Office Banke Chief District Officer Khagendra Prasad Rizal said that in order to protect citizens from cold waves and cold, a meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee has been held and a request has been made to the Forest Office and the Sub-Division Forest Office to provide firewood at a minimum rate.
