The police have arrested two people, including a girl, on the charge of raping a 14-year-old girl in Sainamaina municipality of Rupandehi.

They were arrested on Thursday by a team under the command of Police Inspector Adityaraj Bista of the Ranyura area police office.

25-year-old Sagar Vishwakarma of Sainamaina Municipality-3 Sarauli and 21-year-old Kavita Chaudhary of the same place in Matiar have been arrested on charges of coercion, said DSP Vijayraj Pandit of Butwal area police office.

Ranyura police arrested them and handed them over to the local police office in Butwal. According to the police, a case has been filed against the arrested persons for the crime of coercion and the incident is being investigated.
