Formation of a suggestion task force to solve the resource consumption problem of Karnali River

A joint suggestion task force of the two provinces has been formed to solve the problems seen in the area of ​​resource consumption and conservation of the Karnali River in a meeting held on Wednesday in the Okhariya Intake area of ​​Geruwa Rural Municipality, which is located in the Karnali River watershed area. A joint dialogue between the Chief Ministers of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province on the use and protection of the riverine resources of Karnali River was held on Wednesday and a suggestion task force has been formed under the coordination of the Chief Minister of Lumbini Province and the Secretary of the Cabinet Office.  The

working group will include members of the secretary of the government of Far West Province, representatives of the Ministry of Forestry of both provinces, representatives of the local level connected to the river coastal areas, representatives of the parks, representatives of the surveyor's office and others. It has been decided that the representative of the dialogue group will be the member secretary of the suggestion working group. The committee will identify the problems associated with the three levels of government and will make recommendations by determining priorities and options for solutions. 

Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chetnarayan Acharya informed that a suggestion task force has been formed to solve the border problem between the two provinces, including protection and utilization of natural resources. Chief Minister Acharya said, "It is the responsibility of the task force to identify and categorize the problems and give suggestions. "Suggestions will also be collected about what the local, state and federal governments should do."
