The police have detained Pramod Pokhrel, the vice president of Jhimrook Rural Municipality, who was accused of racial incitement.
Pokhrel was absconding after filing a complaint at the District Police Office Pyuthan, saying that Resham Sunar of Jhimrook-6 had committed caste abuse. Sunar, who is the driver of vehicle No. 1 Ch 3993, had registered a complaint at the District Police Office saying that Pokhrel had racially molested him. He is the driver of the jeep hired by Sunar Rural Municipality.
Pokhrel, who appeared at the district police office himself, was taken into custody by the police and presented to the court, and since the case was not resolved on Sunday, he was kept in police custody, said Police Inspector Keshav KC, information officer of the district police office, Pyuthan.
