A motorcyclist died in Ghorahi on Monday evening after being hit by a tipper.

19-year-old Sudeep Budhathoki of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-19 Kutichour died when a tipper No. 1K 1291 going from Ghorahi to Tulsipur hit a motorcycle No. 7P 746 going in the same direction at Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan-10 Jharbaira Chowk.

Budhathoki, who was injured in the accident, died at the Rapti Health Science Institute in Ghorahi during treatment, said DSP Ishwar Thapa, the district police spokesperson. 22-year-old Deepak Basnet of Kutichour who was riding the motorcycle was injured. He informed that he is being treated at the Rapti Institute of Health Sciences, Ghorahi. DSP Thapa said that 40-year-old Jit Bahadur Chaudhary of Ghorahi-11, Docrena, who is the tipper driver, is under arrest and further investigation is underway.
