The Tharu Museum established in Dangisharan Rural Municipality-3 Chakhoura has now become a wonderful destination. Chakhaura Museum has become an important destination for visitors during Dasain, Tihar holidays. History and culture of the Tharu tribe can be observed in the
museum. Traditional songs, dances, paintings, sculptures, maps, clothes, ornaments, housing, animal husbandry, lifestyle and traditional materials of Tharu culture make the museum worth visiting. 
A traditional house, room, Guruva and Deuta place that gives a glimpse of Tharu village has also been prepared . When you reach the museum, you feel that you have entered a Tharu village. Old ornaments and clothes of the Tharu community have also been collected. Statues and maps have been drawn to show how the Tharu kings ruled. Visitors go to see the culture and lifestyle of the Tharu caste. The audience gets more excited as they get to take pictures wearing Tharu caste costumes.

The ruins of Dangisharan Raja's palace have also been excavated but it has not been properly preserved. Dangisharan Rural Municipality has been named covering the area in the west and south of Dang.
Various structures have been constructed with the help of Lumbini State Government. The old articles, ornaments and clothes of the Tharu community have been searched and idols have been made and kept. A museum has been built in an area of 5 bighas. State MP and former Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, who led the construction of the museum, said that it now has assets of more than 500 million including land and other structures. In the 
museum, you can eat various dishes of the Tharu tribe. In front of the museum, statues of the leaders of the Tharu kingdom and a map of the geography ruled by them have been prepared . It gives information about the history of the Tharu kingdom . The museum also exhibits documentaries, films and songs of the Tharu caste . Dipendra Budha of Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city-14 said that it is easy to understand the diversity and culture of the Tharu caste. "It was very easy to understand the traditional lifestyle of the Tharu tribe known as Dang," he said, "it seems to play a good role in saving the history of the Tharu community and informing the new generation."
