CPN UML Lumbini Parliamentary Party leader Leela Giri has resigned from the post. Giri sent his resignation to party president KP Oli on Tuesday. However, the Chief Minister announced his resignation only on Wednesday after being sworn in.
Giri said that he has sent his resignation to the party president KP Sharma Oli Secretariat . "The information that the resignation has been accepted has not been received yet," he said, "I have decided to resign as it is not appropriate for me to hold the position according to my responsibility after the rules and procedures were violated."
