Ten people have been injured in a bus accident in Chyangchyangbari above Mulghat in Dhankuta Municipality-9. The accident occurred when the bus (Ko 1 Kha 7788) heading from Umling in Sankhuwasabha to Dharan overturned on the road on Friday afternoon. Ten passengers were injured in the accident and one of them is in moderate to serious condition, said Dhankuta Traffic Police Office Chief Yogendra Singh Khadka.

After the accident, the injured were rescued with the help of police and locals and given initial treatment at the Mulghat-based health center. The injured have been sent to Dharan for further treatment, according to the police. 

The injured include 28-year-old Sabita Thapa of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-11, her 16-year-old daughter Aarushi Thapa, 26-year-old Amrita Tamang of Sundarharaincha Municipality-11 of Morang, her 3-year-old daughter Sryansi Tamang, 34-year-old Anisa Katuwal of Dharmadevi Municipality-1 of Sankhuwasabha, 25-year-old Sangita Rai of Mahalaxmi Municipality-6 of Dhankuta, 11-year-old Pavitra Katuwal of Dharmadevi-1 of Sankhuwasabha, 47-year-old Chakra Bahadur Tamang of Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-6 of Morang, 15-year-old Sanjila Khatri of Dharmadevi Municipality-3, and 35-year-old Indra Bahadur Tamang, the bus driver.  Police have stated that the condition of the injured is normal.

The Mulghat-Rudrabari road section, which was blocked due to the accident, has been reopened. The cause of the bus accident has not been identified.
