The amount saved from the Shrimad Matsya Mahapuran, which is being actively conducted by women in the premises of Dharmaganga and Kailashnath Dham temples in Baghekhola here, will be spent on the construction of a community building.
The organizers have stated that Rs 176,299 has been saved from the week-long Mahapuran organized by the Radharani Milijuli Women's Group in Dhankuta Municipality-6. The women's group made public the income and expenditure of the Mahapuran through a press conference and informed that the saved amount will be used for the community building to be constructed in Dharmaganga Dham.
According to Niruta Katuwal, the chairperson of the women's group, the Mahapuran generated an income of Rs 762,995 from the office, organizations, devotees and various donors. After spending Rs 585,696 on Guru Dakshina, food, tents and sound systems, fuel, transportation, banners and receipts, communication, management and worship materials, the saving of Rs 176,299 has been achieved.
The main objective of the Mahapuran organized in coordination with Dharmaganga and Kailashnath Dham Development Committee was to raise financial resources for the construction of a community building in the Dham premises. It is believed that the money saved from the Mahapuran, along with cash and construction materials received from various individuals and supporters, will make the construction work easier.
