Chhathar Jorpati Rural Municipality has proposed 39 plans for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 to the Provincial Planning Commission's plan bank.
In the eighth session of the second village assembly, the rural municipality's vice-chairwoman Geeta Gurung Khewa informed that plans related to infrastructure development, education, health, tourism, agriculture, economic development, employment, human development and good governance have been demanded from the provincial government.
According to vice-chairwoman Gurung, the Jorpati-Chulachuli-Lamichhane Danda-Thulo Ahal-Yachnaghat road has been proposed for blacktop to support the economic and social development of the rural municipality. Similarly, road plans including Trishule-Hattikharka-Mangmaya-Jitpur road, Siduwa-Pipaldanda-Jorpati-Salle road, Factory-Namjang road have also been proposed for the upcoming fiscal year.

The rural municipality has a capital budget of 215.82 million and a current budget of 304.17 million for the current fiscal year. 26.2 million has been allocated for economic development, 217.5 million for social development, 146.7 million for infrastructure development, and 19.4 million for good governance and interrelated areas.
The rural municipality has achieved 36.17 percent financial progress so far in the current fiscal year, while the physical progress has been 24.21 percent. The rural municipality also made public the progress report for the last three and a half years during the program.
It was informed in the meeting that 2.8 kilometers of roads have been blacktopped, 8.21 kilometers of gravel roads, 7.5 kilometers of soling roads and 180 kilometers of new road tracks have been opened in the rural municipality. In addition, the construction of a five-bed hospital building in Sidhuwa, blacktopping of the Trishule-Hattikharka road, the road leading to the office of Ward No. 5 via Jorpati-Salle-Mangmaya-Chulachuli-Kaziman-Furtung Danda-Fatghar, and the road connecting Sidhuwa-Chaparichowk and Jorpati rural municipality are being implemented, informed the rural municipality chairman Chhatra Bahadur Subba.
Chairman Subba said that rural and agricultural roads are being upgraded to ensure market access for local products and to facilitate transportation. However, he said that due to the weak internal income of the rural municipality, it is difficult to work as expected.
Vice President Gurung also presented details of the fact that the rural municipality had to bear a budget deficit of Rs 65 million in the current fiscal year due to low internal income.
