A fire broke out in the Salghari Community Forest in Dhankuta Municipality-7 on Wednesday afternoon.

The District Police Office, Dhankuta, has stated that efforts are currently underway to control the fire. A team of 20 people under the command of Police Inspector Ram Prasad Khanal has been deployed to douse the fire.

The police have stated that efforts are being made to control the fire with the joint efforts of the Nepal Police and local residents. It is said that no human or livestock loss has been reported from the fire so far and there is no immediate risk to the settlement.

The location is about 5 kilometers east-southeast of the District Police Office, Dhankuta.
