A dry landslide has blocked the Yasok-Wasagu-Utta road in Panchthar.
Traffic and transportation have been disrupted since Saturday evening after a dry landslide covered an area of about 15 meters under the road in the Deurali section of the road.
The road is being upgraded and blacktopped. The road was washed away by a dry landslide near the area being upgraded, causing traffic and transportation services to be disrupted, said Thakur Singh Nembang, vice-chairman of the rural municipality.
According to Nembang, work is underway to open a new track using three excavators to open the road. However, due to the extensive damage caused by the dry landslide in the difficult terrain with rocky hills, it is estimated that it will take three days to complete the work.
All types of vehicles, including two-wheelers and four-wheelers, are blocked on the road.
