The Infrastructure Development Office, Khotang, has written to 26 construction companies that have not completed their contracts and have been warned that if they do not provide an explanation, the bank guarantee will be confiscated and the action process will be escalated.

The construction work has not started as per the contract, the work to be done at the end of the rainy season and the fiscal year will be of poor quality, incomplete, the allocated budget will be frozen and the general public and the public will suffer. The letter has been sent to explain why the construction work has not started within 7 days. The letter has mentioned that the explanation should be submitted along with the basis for completing the work as per the contract. If there is no progress as per the contract, the bank guarantee will be confiscated and action will be taken.

According to Binam Dahal, Chief of the Infrastructure Development Office, Khotang, a letter was sent on Thursday to 26 construction companies of projects that have not yet made progress in the second and third weeks of Magh 2082. "A letter has been sent to 26 construction companies that signed an agreement last January but have not completed the work," Dahal said. "If they fail to do so, the process of confiscating the deposit will be initiated and action will be taken by putting them on a blacklist."

Under this, letters have been sent to Unan Nirman Sewa, Udayapur, which will take the contract for the Kuhibhir Khapting Likuwa road upgrade, Bishwa Shikhar Nirman Sewa, Udayapur, which will take the contract for the Lahare Paiyu road upgrade from Diprung Chuichumma Ward Office to Yamkha, and Arjun Point Engineering Developers Private Limited, Kathmandu, which will take the contract for the Dhaplang Dhartung Chisapani road blacktop project.

Similarly, letters have been sent to Wright Brother RDT Point Mencher, who will be awarded the contract for the upgrade of the road from Three Star Hydropower to Khamdada to Rikhuwa, Imo Builders Private Limited, who will be awarded the contract for the upgrade of the Pokhre-Jamune-Sagutar road to Diprung Chuichumma, and Shilnyas Engineering and Consultant Private Limited, Dhading, who will be awarded the contract for the upgrade of the Panchami Pandegaun-Mandatta Puvargaun road to Diprung Chuichumma. 

Shantibhoomi Construction Pvt. Ltd., Khotang, has been asked to take the contract for the road connecting Badka Milan Chowk to Likuwapokhari Jantedhung Municipality Center via Sawaktahare Waplukha, Anshubi-Nepal Phulbari-Pingla JV, Khotang, to take the contract for the construction of the Dikhwa Khola Motorable Bridge, and S.R. Construction, Khotang, to take the contract for the upgrading of the road connecting Alchedhunga, Nerpa, Dumli and Sakela Rural Municipality. 

Similarly, letters have also been sent to Arjun Point Engineering Development Pvt. Ltd. Kathmandu, which will be awarded the contract for upgrading the road from Chimaha Kahu to Bopung via Buakhola; Bishwashikhar Nirman Sewa Udayapur, which will be awarded the contract for the road connecting Yamkha Chhabilal Chowk to Sakela Rural Municipality via Diyu Dilaichi; Nirma Construction and Suppliers Pvt. Ltd. Khotang, which will be awarded the contract for the construction of the Simpani Police Post building; and Ranasampang Construction Pvt. Ltd., which will be awarded the contract for the construction of the Patkaru Sumde road.  

Dahal said that letters have also been sent to Gribunhang Construction Pvt. Ltd., Bhojpur, which will take the contract for the Phedi Dhudre Bhojpur road upgrade, Barahapokhari Construction and Suppliers Pvt. Ltd., Kathmandu, which will take the contract for the construction of the Ganeshman Memorial Building, Khotehang-7, and Pathibhara Construction Service, Udayapur, which will take the contract for the construction of the Diplung Barapokhari road upgrade.

Similarly, letters have been sent to Pathibhara Construction Service, Udayapur, which will take the contract for the construction of the Dadankharka Kattike road upgrade, Barapokhari-1, Dhansuna Construction, which will take the contract for the construction of the road going to the ward office via Bagkhor Bhanjyang Kahule, and B&B Construction Service, Udayapur, which will take the contract for the construction of the Balika Phaparbari Siruwani road upgrade. 

Unan Nirman Sewa, Udayapur, has been asked to take the contract for the road upgrade connecting Bupung Aamchauk Rural Municipality via Buakhola Maintar, B&B Nirman Sewa, Udayapur, has been asked to take the contract for the construction of the Ewla Muktang Bayukhola Bangsilaghat road, and Shantibhumi Construction Pvt. Ltd., Khotang, has been asked to take the contract for the road construction of Badkadiya via Surungkhle Dumh to Kulabhanjyang.
