Due to the influence of the western low-pressure system and local winds, the weather has changed and the rain that started in western Nepal has now reached eastern Nepal.

Meteorologist Binu Maharjan of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology informed that it is currently raining in various parts of eastern Nepal. While light rain is currently falling in other parts of the country, she said that it is raining in various districts east of the central region of Nepal.

According to the records recorded at the Rain Measurement Center this evening, in the last three hours, 32.2 mm of rain has fallen in Siraha, 24.8 mm in Udayapur, 21.8 mm in Morang, 20.2 mm in Sindhupalchowk, and 11.2 mm in Khotang. Currently, only light rain has fallen in some districts of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki Provinces. In the evening, heavy snowfall has occurred in the high hilly and mountainous areas. Currently, the rain is concentrated in the east.

In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall has been recorded in Makawanpur, 46.4 mm. This is followed by 45.2 mm in Kathmandu, and 42.6 mm in Dang. This is close to heavy rain.

According to the bulletin issued by the department's Weather Forecasting Division in the evening, there is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall along with thunder/lightning/hail/storm at many places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces tonight and at some places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Similarly, it is said that there is a possibility of heavy rain at one/two places in Koshi, Madhes and Lumbini provinces.

Similarly, it is said that there is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall along with thunder/lightning/hail/storm at many places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at some places in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces on Saturday.
