A training course on social and financial skills transformation has begun in Dhankuta Municipality with the participation of adolescents and young women. 

The municipality has organized the training with the implementation of the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Government of Nepal, and financial support from the World Bank. The municipality has stated that the program was conducted with the objective of preparing competent trainers to transfer social and financial skills targeting adolescents.

The training was inaugurated by Dhankuta Municipality Mayor Chintan Tamang. The training has been organized under the Integrated Service Access Project for the Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence.

According to Nushraj Shrestha, GBV expert of the Project Implementation Unit, after the training, classes on social and financial skills will be conducted for adolescents and young women in schools in the city area. 26 people from all 10 wards of Dhankuta Municipality are participating in the training. 

The training will be conducted until Chaitra 10.
