According to the Nepal Electricity Authority, Dhankuta Distribution Center, although power service has been restored in Bhedetar, Hile, Pakhribas and the lower parts of Mahalaxmi Municipality, Mulghat and other areas, it has not been able to operate in the Bazaar area.

Power service is still disrupted in Dhankuta Bazaar after a pole of a 33 kV transmission line collapsed in the Chhathar Jorpati area due to the storm. Seven poles were broken at one place in the Nigale area of ​​Dhankuta Municipality and a transformer was also damaged.

According to Bijuli Prasad Yadav, the head of the Dhankuta Distribution Center, work is underway to restore the damaged structures. 'Repair work is ongoing, efforts are being made to restore power supply to the district headquarters by night,' he said. He said that the damaged power line is currently being repaired in Salleri, the district headquarters.

The exact details of the damage caused by the storm across the district are yet to be released. The Authority has stated that 7 to 8 technical teams have been mobilized to assess the damage and details are being collected.
