Amidst the shortage of cooking LPG across the country, 345,783 kg of gas has entered Nepal from the Biratnagar Customs Office in two days.
According to the Customs Office, the said quantity of LPG was imported in the last two days. The gas has been imported in large quantities at a time when consumers are facing problems due to the decreasing supply of gas in the market.
According to customs sources, the imported gas will be sent to various parts of the country through various gas industries. This is expected to reduce the gas shortage in the market to some extent.
In recent days, there has been a gas shortage in various parts of the country due to disruptions in transportation management and supply processes. As even gas dealers have not been able to supply as per demand, consumers have had to wait in long queues.
