Rubina Acharya of the National Independent Party has been elected from Morang Constituency No. 6 by securing 55,513 votes. She defeated her rival Dr. Shekhar Koirala of the Nepali Congress by a wide margin.
Koirala has received only 12,850 votes. Similarly, Binod Prasad Dhakal of the CPN-UML has received 8,317 votes, while Matrika Poudel of the Shram Sanskriti Party has received 3,400 votes. Santosh Rajbanshi of the National Independent Party has already been elected in Morang 4.
He has defeated Nepali Congress General Secretary Guru Ghimire. While Rajbanshi was elected with 40,833 votes, General Secretary Ghimire received only 12,818 votes. Mahaprasad Khatiwada/Morang
