Private schools in the district will be closed from Falgun 18 to 25. Falgun 18 is the Holi festival and this day is a public holiday in the Himalayan and hilly districts. The Ministry of Home Affairs has already decided to grant a holiday from 20 to 22 for the elections.
As Falgun 23 is Saturday and Falgun 24 is Women's Day, these two days are also public holidays. Tarun Bharti, Secretary of Private School Organization PABSON, informed that it has been decided not to hold school on Falgun 19 for one day.
According to Bharti, schools that were closed on Sunday, the 17th, will be regular only from 10 am on Monday, the 25th. District Chairman Devaj Gurung informed that a comfortable environment has been created for teachers and parents going to the village for the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21. Gurung said that the holiday was extended after parents said that there would be congestion in vehicles moving in the village as election materials and police personnel have to be transported and there would be problems returning to the village.
It is said that there are 26 private schools in the district.
