Three homeless people were rescued from various places in Dhankuta on Thursday through the 'Koshi Province Rescue Tour' organized by Manav Sewa Ashram.

Among those rescued is a 35-year-old man named Amrit from Madanchowk area in Dhankuta who has been living in a state of limbo for a long time. Similarly, another 36-year-old man named 'Sahil' and 52-year-old Bhim Prasad Adhikari, who lives on a roadside in Dhankuta Municipality-6, have also been rescued and sent to the ashram, said Bidur Khawas, president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Dhankuta.

The family background of the three people, who appear to be mentally weak, has not been revealed. They have been kept under safe custody after arranging for their health check-up and necessary treatment, and necessary initiatives will be taken for family reunion, the ashram has said.

The 'Koshi Province Rescue Tour', which the ashram started on Falgun 3, is scheduled to run until Falgun 16.
