The fire that broke out in the Bhanjyang Danda area of ​​Chhathar Jorpati Rural Municipality-4, Dhankuta since Thursday has been brought under control.

The fire that started in the local Ahale area spread towards Piple village. Local Yogendra Prasad Ghimire informed that although the fire affected the forest and wildlife, there has been no material or human loss so far.

Local Khindra Bahadur Giri said that after the fire in the forest moved towards the Piple settlement, water had to be poured on the roofs of houses and sheds to save them. He said, 'Since the area around Piple is covered with forest and there is no sufficient manpower and equipment, the fire could enter the settlement again, but the risk has been averted for now.' Last year, a fire in the same place also burned down four houses and sheds of locals.
