Pistol and 40 rounds of bullets looted during the Gen-G movement found inside a chicken coop

Police have arrested a person with a pistol and 40 rounds of ammunition that were stolen from the Area Police Office, Anarmani, during the Genji movement.

The arrested person is 22-year-old Sujay Rajbanshi of Kankai Municipality-8, said Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, spokesperson of the District Police Office.

The police raided the house of local Tul Bahadur Thapa Magar on Sunday based on a special tip-off that illegal weapons and narcotics were being hidden. The police recovered a 989 mm pistol and 40 rounds of ammunition hidden in a plastic drum in a chicken coop behind the house by his 22-year-old son Saugat Thapa Magar.

Saugat, who was involved in the incident, is absconding. He said that Rajbanshi involved in the looting will be taken action under the Criminal Code 2074 BS.
