Dhankuta Superintendent of Police Sharat Kumar Thapa Chhetri informed that a revenue of Rs 180,600 was collected from the auction sale of those vehicles.

He said that the vehicles that have not been claimed for a long time and whose ownership has not been legally revealed have been evaluated and auctioned according to the relevant laws and regulations. According to the police, the auction process can be carried out only after publishing a public notice, evaluation and completing the necessary procedures. He said that all legal procedures have been completed and managed.

He said, 'Keeping stolen, abandoned and unclaimed vehicles for a long time creates problems in conservation and management. Therefore, the relevant legal procedures have been completed and managed through auction.' According to SP Thapa Chhetri, the amount received from the auction has been deposited in the government revenue account.
