CPN-UML Dhankuta has formed a 'National Volunteer Force' at the district level. The force was formed with the aim of discouraging negative activities in the society and promoting positive and constructive campaigns, informed Rabin Katel, head of the UML Publicity Department.

According to Katel, this force has also been formed as an additional force of 23 mass organizations of UML.

A 65-member force has been formed in the district under the leadership of Pravin Pokharel. He said that the organizational structure has been decided to include all the municipalities of Dhankuta, with Pokharel as commander and Mohan Limbu as co-commander.

The force formation program was attended by the central chief commander of the National Volunteer Force, Pushpa Shrestha, UML Dhankuta district president Shiva Angla, secretary Parshuram Nepal and other leaders and activists.

UML has stated that the role of the force will be important in conducting the elections in a fearless, peaceful and dignified manner and making organizational activities effective.
