A laborer has died after being buried by a mound of soil near a branch culvert of the Satasi River in Shivasatakshi Municipality-11, Jhapa.

On Friday afternoon, at around 2:10 pm, Ramesh Kumar Yadav, a laborer working for Ncell, was injured when a mound of earth suddenly collapsed while he was digging a hole underground for fiber internet connection.

Yadav, aged around 35-36, from Lahan Ghar, Siraha, was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment by ambulance with the help of locals. Police said he died during treatment.
