Dhankuta police have seized an Indian car carrying marijuana using a Nepali number plate. The car, which was heading towards Dharan from Phedi, Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-6 on the Koshi Highway, was seized along with marijuana, said Dhankuta Superintendent of Police Sarat Kumar Thapa Chhetri.

A car with registration number Ba10Cha 5615, which was going from Mulghat in Dhankuta to Dharan, was seized with 90 kg of marijuana. SP Thapa said that the car was Indian and had a Nepali number plate.

The car has been identified as an Indian BRW 11 H4 875. 90 kg of marijuana was recovered packed in four sacks inside the car. The car is currently under the control of Mulghat police.

Police said that they are searching for the driver and another person who fled the car.
