Rastriya Parivartan Party Sankhuwasabha candidate Ghanshyam Waling Rai has made public a 24-point commitment letter. At a program organized in Khandbari on Sunday, he made public his election commitment as a joint candidate of Ujjaya Nepal and Rastriya Parivartan Party and urged voters to vote for the election symbol, the flute.

Speaking at the program, Rai made it clear that his politics is not about speeches, but about service. 'I will not be one to give assurances, but rather a representative who will come to the people frequently with work reports,' he said. Issues such as manufacturing enterprises in every household, transparent and honest governance, water source protection, disaster management, youth and sports development, local employment, promotion of agriculture and tourism, health and social security have been prioritized.

He has put forward a plan to increase local income through rudraksha, cardamom, ginger, turmeric, vegetables, beekeeping, herbs and fruit farming in every household. He also expressed his commitment to take strong steps against the politics of commission and setting and to become an accountable representative among the people.

Speaking about hydropower development, Rai said that development is necessary, but not at the cost of landslides and displacement, and said that risky projects will not be taken forward without ensuring land security. He said that fair compensation and safe rehabilitation will be arranged for the affected citizens in advance.

The commitment letter also includes plans to expand trade and employment opportunities by organizing the Kimathanka checkpoint, promoting Makalu Himal, Sabha Pokhari, Arun Valley and Makalu-Barun National Park and bringing in tourism all year round.

He has expressed his commitment to control youth addiction, conduct regular health camps, reduce disaster risk, provide government services at doorsteps, and conduct public monitoring and reporting of development projects. Rai has presented himself as a representative who will not disappear forever by seeking votes, but will always be among the people.
