The unification trek organized by the Nepal Army here on the occasion of National Unity Day and Earth Day has been completed. The Bijaypurgadhi-Sangurigadhi-Pakhribas Nishan trek, which began on Sunday, reached Pakribas and concluded on Wednesday morning.

The Nepali Army team, which set out from Bijaypur in Sunsari on Sunday to explore the unification path, reached Pakhribas on Wednesday morning via Phusre, Chiuribas, Sangurigadhi, Dharapani, Ghante, Phedi, Mulghat, Mahang Belhara, and Uttarpani. The journey concluded with a program in Pakhribas.
At the closing ceremony, Pakhribas Municipality Mayor Gyan Bahadur Gurung said that the trek would help in promoting history and national unity. Bhim Dal Battalion Chief Gen. Ganesh Thapa informed that the Nepali Army has conducted the trek with the aim of preserving historical and cultural heritage.
Thapa said that the trek was conducted with the aim of spreading the message of national unity and patriotism along with the identification, protection and promotion of the historical Bijaypurgadhi, Sangurigadhi, and Pakhribas areas. On Sunday morning, Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Harkaraj Rai Sampang, Army Eastern Command Commander Lieutenant General Gaurav Kumar KC, and Brigade Commander of Division 2 in Hile, Brigadier General Diwakar Bikram Rana bid farewell to the army's trekking team.
